YES Remote School Snow Day Letter

February 3, 2022

Dear YES Families,

We are writing to let you know that this afternoon we are sending the school iPads home with all of our students. The weather for tomorrow looks questionable and we may need to have a “remote snow day”. Just to be clear I am not saying we are having a remote snow day. That will be determined in the morning.

The YES Remote Snow Day Plan provides an overview of the schedule if this does come to fruition. Students will arrive home with their iPads (to access Seesaw & Google Meets) and any other learning materials that teachers send with them. If you would like to log in to Seesaw through a device other than the school iPad this link will provide you with those directions.

On any Remote Snow Day, we will email the attendance link to you that morning. As we did in the past during remote learning, please fill out the form to verify that your child is “in school” and engaged in their learning that day YES Attendance Form.

Unless we have an actual remote snow day, the iPads should stay in the sleeve in their backpack. If a remote snow day does not occur, then the iPads should come back to school with students the next morning.

If your child is not in school today to bring their device home or to pick up the additional learning materials provided by teachers, they will be available for pickup today in the main office until 4:30 PM. Please contact the school if you plan to pick them up and we will have the items ready for you. If you cannot make it here during that window, please contact the main office to make other arrangements.

As always, if you have any questions please let us know. Thanks!

Best,

Ryan Gleason, YES Principal & Molly Kilpatrick, YES Assistant Principal
