Yarmouth Schools will be closed today - Thursday, October 26 - due to the shelter-in-place and ongoing search for a person of interest in last evening's tragedy in Lewiston that impacts many of our staff and families. All offices will be closed as we urge folks to remain off the roads as much as possible. Sam Bessey and Ian Friedel, 7th graders, created a plaque on the 3D printer for a library bookshelf created by 8th-grader Jasper Keller. Ian and Sam then installed the plaque themselves. Such a fun community creation!

This afternoon our Language Arts teachers took part in a professional development activity similar to rock/paper/scissors, based on the first line(s) of the book they are currently reading. We learned that this is an engaging way to stimulate student interest in multiple books!

We have well over 100 bikers a day at HMS - about 1/3 of our students! We can also identify this amount as .333 or 33.3%. We love to see so many of our students biking and walking to school. We also love math!
