Dear Third and Fourth Grade Parents,
Over the next two weeks, third and fourth graders will take the required Maine Education Assessments in mathematics and English/language arts (ELA)/literacy.
Students will work for approximately an hour a day. Please check our school calendar or teacher pages/blogs as schedules and times differ between the two grade levels.
Please make sure your children are at school on time on these testing dates. Once testing begins they will not be able to enter the classroom until it is completed. If a student leaves school for any reason during a testing session, s/he must return on the same day to complete that session. Testing sessions must be started and completed in the same school day.
The students will use their laptops to take the tests in their classrooms. Fortunately, our students do not share their computers with other classrooms, which removes an obstacle faced in many schools. Teachers and Mrs. Wolinsky have prepared for the test and are ready to administer it. During testing time, teachers masterfully balance fun learning tasks and extra movement activities to keep everyone energized and motivated.
Thank you for your continued support at home. YOU make all the difference!
