Congratulations and best wishes to Arianah Burgess and Celina Belleville, the 8th  grade students who were honored by the HMS/Rotary Student Recognition program for the month of February!

The Unified Arts Team chose Celina for this recognition and the 8th Grade Team chose Arianah. This award is based on growth mindset and the effort/grit/perseverance demonstrated by HMS students.

Cheryl Lambert, Celina and Mike HickeyCelina is a wonderful example of grace, intelligence, talent, and humility.  She consistently demonstrates these qualities throughout all of her UA subjects and our school as a whole. Celina willingly shares her positive energy with her peers, the staff, and our HMS community. She was the unanimous choice of the Unified Arts Team for this honor.

Arianah asks questions and participates in class discussions; she seeks out help, is focused, and curious. If she doesn't understand something, she continues to ask for clarity and doesn't give up until she gets it.  She is also a delight to have in class. Arianah is is polite, works well with her peers, and always says good morning on her way through the door.

Our heartfelt thanks to Sarah MacGillivray, past president of the Yarmouth Rotary, Bruce Myers, current president, and all members of the Rotary, for partnering with us to make this program possible!
