  • December Newsletter #2 Dear Parents, Guardians and Friends, THANK YOU!! At our whole school community meeting last Friday morning, an impressive amount of food was collected for the Yarmouth Community Food Pantry. The food items will be delivered Monday afternoon. The overarching meeting theme was filling one another’s buckets with kind words and actions every day. As many of you are aware, YES uses the Responsive Classroom approach that threads a positive social framework for children in and outside of the classroom setting. The approach helps to support children in multiple ways from developing positive peer relationships, taking responsibility for their actions to being a valued community member.   • December Newsletter We wish you and your families all the best at this time of year. The students have a two-week vacation that begins on December 20th. Classes resume on Monday, January 5, 2015. We welcomed Chris Wentworth, grade three, and Liz Woodcock, instructional support, back from maternity leaves on Monday, November 24th. Jocie Wentworth and John Woodcock are the newest members of our YES family. Our Fourth Grade Chorus performs on Wednesday, December 17th at 7:00PM. The chorus performs at 2:00 for the school if you are unable to attend in the evening. Yarmouth Education Foundation funded two grant proposals for which we are very grateful and appreciative.
